Teachers can award the International Certification to their students/dancers
Assistance in applying for a visa to the European Union for performers and accompanying persons.
The Dora Stratou Dance Theatre celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2023 www.GRdance.org
To register write to the CID Secretariat ExecSec@CID-world.org
1. Send your professional profile (if you are not a CID Member already). You will receive a reply within a week.
2. After approval send Membership fee plus Festival registration for all persons (dancers, musicians, assistants).
3. You will receive an attestation that they are Members of the CID registered as Festival participants. With this document you can contact sponsors and apply for a visa to the European Union.
For World Festival participants
CID membership and festival registration is required for performers, musicians and backstage assistants. No other fee is charged. Fees are not refundable. Upon check-in conferees receive their badge (to wear at all times), a dancer’s bag containing the detailed program, information material and gifts by sponsors.
NUMBER OF DANCERS
Soloists are welcome but precedence is given to companies. The more dancers the better since the stage is very large and audiences prefer larger companies.
Non-performing persons either register as backstage assistants to apply for a visa and assist you in dressing rooms, or enter as spectators without access to stage or backstage.
All participants cover their travel, stay and other expenses. They must be insured for the duration of their stay in the country.
VISA AND FUNDING
Ask for detailed information. A list of participants is sent to the embassy to facilitate granting a visa.
TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION
Book a flight at least one day before. Prefer a hotel near a metro station. Taxi fare is low, about 7 euros within Athens.
This is a rare opportunity for your dancers to receive the International Certification from the hands of the President of the CID at the ceremony. The School Director, the school and the student should be members of the CID.
Rehearsal time is equal to performance time. Rehearsal takes place only on the same day as the performance.
Time on stage is limited since the audience is composed of specialists: 5 minutes for solos; 6 for duos, one extra minute for every additional dancer.
Send text file with title, description, form of dance. Include link to your website where you can post photos, music and/or video samples.
All performances will be recorded and posted on the festival website. Performers can have their own video recording if they wish.

Visit museums and archaeological sites, combine with holidays, the nearest beach being only 15 minutes away. We recommend the Dionysos Theater (the oldest dance theatre in the world) and Pnyx Hill (the exact birthplace of democracy) both at a few minutes’ walk.
If you cannot attend, you can register and send your DVD to be played. Send also material to be put into participants’ bags or distributed to spectators.
